Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and adherence to safety protocols to ensure patient well-being and image quality. Duties
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain optimal images.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Review images for clarity, proper positioning, and quality before submitting for physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with medical staff to schedule imaging appointments and ensure timely patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest imaging techniques and safety standards through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as an X-Ray Technologist in accordance with state regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation and communication with healthcare professionals.
- Prior experience working in a medical imaging setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent patient care skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
