Overview
Bob's Painting & Decorating is hiring professional painters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. Must have a minimum 5 years experience. This role requires a strong understanding in staining, small drywall repairs, as well as operation of spray equipment. Must be able to work well with other team members. Must have reliable transportation. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
- Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition
- Utilize rigging and scaffolding safely for elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete painting tasks with precision
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times during work
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting
- Knowledge of construction processes and schematics reading is preferred
- Hands-on experience with rigging, carpentry, caulking, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
- Prior experience in customer service is a plus
