BreastCare Imaging is seeking an experienced diagnostic medical sonographer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled, caring professional who is passionate about women’s health and eager to contribute to early breast cancer detection. The sonographer will perform breast ultrasound imaging and collaborate closely with our radiologists and clinical team to provide an outstanding patient experience.
This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency in medical terminology. The ideal candidate will contribute to providing high-quality imaging services in a compassionate and professional manner, ensuring accurate results that support effective patient care.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging results and relevant observations.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret imaging results and assist in screening.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Regularly calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and medical imaging practices through ongoing education.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography training program and hold an active licence with Sonography Canada OR ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Have proven experience or specialized training in breast ultrasound
- Demonstrate excellent scanning technique, image quality, and clinical judgment
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care with strong communication skills
- Be passionate about women’s health, breast screening, and early cancer detection
- Be comfortable working independently and within a collaborative clinical team
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
