What You’ll Do
- Own and manage accounts payable from start to finish, including vendor payments and reconciliations.
- Analyze and reconcile daily sales and cost of goods sold across multiple retail locations.
- Lead inventory accounting processes, including detailed reconciliations and annual counts.
- Perform monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close.
- File GST and PST returns and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Track prepaid expenses, capital assets, and depreciation.
- Partner with store teams to support requests and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute ideas to improve systems, workflows, and reporting.
- Support accounting and reporting for smaller related entities and special projects.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to full-cycle accounting.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and able to work with large datasets
- Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with confidence.
- A proactive mindset—you don’t just do the work, you look for ways to improve it.
- Experience with Sage 300, Shopify, enrolment in CPA or accounting firm environments is a plus.
