Line Cook Job Summary
A Line Cook is in charge of preparing food and setting up other necessary supplies. They make sure everything has been set up correctly before starting work. They use specialized kitchen tools to prepare essential ingredients and create a finished product.
Line Cook Duties:
· Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
· Prepare food for service and takeaway(e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
· Answer, report and follow Head or Sous chef’s instructions
· Clean up station and take care of leftover food
· Stock inventory appropriately
· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Line Cook Requirements and Skills:
· Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
· Familiar with industry’s best practices
· Culinary school diploma preferable
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing and preparing and cooking food.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
· Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.

Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
