Key Responsibilities
:Conduct mine asset due diligence and evaluations
Determine mining methods and life-of-mine strategy
Complete Mineral Reserves and be able to sign off as a Qualified Person (QP)
Lead/complete mine planning/scheduling and optimization
Direct/complete trade-offs for materials handling systems, new technology, and varying mining strategies
Select mining equipment
Estimate mining Capex/Opex using cost modeling
Write/review/manage the completion of technical studies (NI43-101, JORC, SK1300, or equivalent)
Champion practical mining solutions for our project and operations, leveraging the existing foundation of global best practices (fit-for-purpose).
Manage multi-disciplinary project team to deliver high-quality project on time and within budget
Actively mentor and develop our junior engineer
Skills/Qualifications:
4+ years of mining-technical experience
Minimum 3 years of operational mining experience required
Must be able to use Mine Planning software competently (Deswik or Datamine preferred)
Must be P.Eng. (or equivalent)
Ability to lead a Technical Team
Desire to lead business development activities
Excellent workplace safety practices (advocate for global best practices)
Practically minded and a passion for technical excellence
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in writing technical reports, and general project correspondence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $180,000.00-$190,000.00 per year
