Neuro Zone Physiotherapy is a mobile service, based in Victoria. We service the Greater Victoria area including Sidney and the West Shore communities. We are committed to delivering experienced neurological rehabilitation to individuals of all ages in their homes, backyards, neighbourhoods, parks, pools and community centres. Our knowledgeable rehabilitation team believes in having fun while working towards their clients’ physical goals. By providing physiotherapy and kinesiology in real world environments, our team can be more functional in their approach and involve family members and caregivers throughout the rehabilitation journey.
We are currently looking for a part-time kinesiologist to start working with an existing caseload. It is preferred, but not necessary for the successful candidate to have experience working or volunteering in the area of neurological rehabilitation.
Requirement for this position:
- Undergraduate degree in kinesiology or human kinetics
- Registered with the BCAK
- Liability insurance
- Valid BC Driver’ license
- Must have a reliable vehicle to commute to clients location
- May be required to provide a criminal record check/clearance letter
- May be required to provide proof of TB/Flu shot immunization and vaccinations
Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively, in a positive and supportive manor
- Ability to organize work schedule and record keeping
- Ability to operate related equipment, such as walkers, lifts, and wheelchairs.
- Ability to conduct thorough neurological kinesiology assessments (kinesiologists only)
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with clients of all ages and abilities in their home environment
- Assist with our clients’ individualized treatment plans
- Assist physiotherapists with complex clients (two-person assists)
- Maintain appropriate client records using Jane App
- Maintain client and company confidentiality
- Collaborate with therapists, clients and family members
- Communicate regularly with supervising PTs (online meetings, emails or text messages)
As a Kinesiologist with Neuro Zone you will:
Work independently and/or under the direction of a registered neuro physiotherapist to carry out established physiotherapy treatment programs, which may include:
- Adapted exercises
- Passive exercises
- Active assisted exercises
- Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR) exercises
- Instructing individual exercises in various positions
- Gait training with and without gait aids
- Functional mobility practice
- NeuroMuscular Electrical Stimulation (delegated)
- Wheelchair skill practice

Looking for someone to work Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 11:00am - 7:00pm but may vary slightly depending on the caseload. No weekend work is required but is optional.
