Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Farm Store Clerk to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's merchandising standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for retail and produce products. Experience in retail sales or cashiering are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on farm products, including technical sales and product information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and according to store standards
- Assist with basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management
- Ensure accurate cash handling and record keeping during shifts
