Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Female electric Guitar Tutor to provide beginner-level guitar lessons to a teenage girl. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching music and working with children, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to inspire a young student and foster her musical development through personalized instruction tailored to her interests and skill level.
Duties
- Deliver one-on-one guitar lessons focused on foundational skills suitable for beginners.
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with the student’s interests and learning pace.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate continued progress.
- Monitor and assess the student’s progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Incorporate basic music theory, rhythm, and technique into lessons to build a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing.
- Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding the student’s development and upcoming lessons.
- Ensure safety during lessons, especially when handling musical equipment or related activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching guitar, especially to beginners or children.
- Strong background in guitar playing with the ability to demonstrate basic techniques clearly.
- Experience working with children or in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with patience and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to a teenage beginner’s interests.
- Respectful demeanor and commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Prior experience in classroom settings or educational environments is a plus.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
