Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in a vibrant restaurant environment.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices and who is specialized in Cooking Punjabi and Indian Food as well as experience in meal preparation and food service. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of Punjabi and Indian dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, including portion control and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Cooking Punjabi and Indian food in a restaurant or food service setting is reqired.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
