Physician Assistant – Interventional Pain Management
About the Position
We are an Interventional Pain Management practice in Ontario seeking a Canadian-trained Physician Assistant (PA) to support our Pain Specialist in patient assessments, consultations, procedural care, and follow-up management.
The PA will work as part of the clinical team under the supervision and delegated authority of the physician in accordance with CPSO requirements.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient histories and perform focused physical assessments
- Support new patient consultations and follow-up visits
- Prepare clinical documentation and review diagnostic investigations
- Provide patient education and reinforce treatment plans
- Assist with interventional pain procedures (training provided)
- Perform delegated clinical activities appropriate to training, competence, and physician supervision
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAPA-accredited Canadian PA program
- Registered with the CPSO as a Physician Assistant
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and patient-interaction skills
- Interest in chronic pain, musculoskeletal medicine, neurology, or spine care
- Experience working in a specialty outpatient clinic
- Familiarity with EMR documentation systems
- English/French bilingualism is considered an asset
- Experience assisting with procedures or procedural-based clinical care
Important Application Requirement
Only Physician Assistant who are registered with CPSO will be considered. Applicants who are foreign-trained physicians, international medical graduates, nurses, or nurse practitioners without Canadian PA training are not eligible for this position.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
