Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with paving projects and supporting heavy equipment operation to ensure the successful completion of asphalt installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to quality infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of paving sites, including setting up barriers and signage
- Support heavy equipment operators in tasks such as loading, unloading, and positioning materials
- Help with asphalt laying, spreading, and compaction under supervision
- Perform general construction duties related to asphalt paving projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Operate basic tools and equipment as trained, including hand tools and small machinery
Requirements
- Prior experience in heavy equipment operation, paving, or construction is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to job sites as needed
Pay: $25.10-$35.00 per hour
