Alpine Stone Masonry Inc. is hiring Journeymen and Apprentice bricklayers / stone masons to join our crew working on new build commercial and residential projects across Alberta.
Job Description
We are looking for hard working individuals with previous experience in new build construction who are ready to continue developing their masonry skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This is consistent, full-time work with no downtime between projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience in new build construction (masonry experience preferred)
- Ability to read and follow plans and drawings
- Ability to take direction and use initiative on site
- Positive attitude and practical, problem-solving mindset
- Strict adherence to company safety program and best work practices
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Candidates must have their own transportation to work sites
Responsibilities
- Setting out, assisting, and performing brick, block, and stone work
- Carrying out general masonry tasks on projects
- Working with crew to complete project targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Supporting Journeyman, Foreman, and other crew members as required
Work Conditions
- Physically demanding; ability to handle heavy materials required
- Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Working at heights required
- Travel to job sites required
- Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week with potential for overtime depending on project demands
