Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide individualized support to children and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with patience and understanding.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation.
- Collaborate with team members, caregivers, and families to support each child's or individual's progress.
- Monitor and document developmental milestones, behavioral changes, and progress reports.
- Assist with daily caregiving routines such as feeding, hygiene, and mobility assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom or activity space that adheres to safety standards.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and special needs support through ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Background in teaching or early childhood education is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to care for children in a nurturing and responsible manner.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to fostering positive developmental outcomes for all learners. Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
