About the Role
MeadowBrook is seeking an experienced Senior Door & Dock Technician to lead our service and installation projects. In this role, you will be the lead resource in the field, responsible for repairing, installing, and maintaining doors and dock equipment for industrial and commercial clients.
This is a perfect fit for a skilled professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working safely, and mentoring the next generation of technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Installation: Repair and install commercial overhead doors, rolling steel doors, and high-speed doors.
- Dock Systems: Fix and set up dock levelers (mechanical and hydraulic), vehicle restraints, and dock seals.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly find and fix issues with mechanical, low-voltage electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintenance: Perform regular inspections to find parts that are worn out and recommend fixes before they fail.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Act as the lead person on-site, helping apprentices develop their skills and safe work habits.
- Digital Reporting: Use mobile software to complete work orders, document your work with photos, and get customer sign-offs.
- Safety First: Maintain a clean work environment and follow all safety rules, including lockout/tagout and fall protection.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience working with commercial dock and door systems.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of springs, cables, operators, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability: Comfortable reading technical drawings and manuals to solve complex issues.
- Compliance: A valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Mindset: Self-directed, detail-oriented, and professional when speaking with customers.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
