Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, following recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; process payments and give correct change.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices, including identifying signs of intoxication.
- Collaborate with team members to manage busy periods smoothly while maintaining high service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred; hospitality background is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Touch Bistro POS or similar cashiering tools is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- A positive attitude with a passion for creating enjoyable guest experiences.
- Bilingualism an asset
