ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Shipper & Receiver (Afternoon Shift) will be responsible for all functions associated with material warehousing including picking orders, shipping and receiving. The Shipper & Receiver will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.
DUTIES:
- Adhere to shipping and receiving policies, procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
- Complete a daily pre-shift forklift inspection at the start of every shift
- Fill all orders as quickly and accurately as possible, checking both the item number and product description before recording on the appropriate papers
- Maintain the warehouse, receiving areas, and yard in a clean and organized manner; fill pick bins as necessary and as directed
- Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
- Pick/ship goods to customers in a efficiently and accurately manner
- Ensure proper documentation is supplied with each shipment; this includes packing, sealing, and labeling materials to prepare for shipping
- Other duties as deemed necessary by Management
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- HVAC experience an asset
- Post-Secondary Education an asset
- Minimum 1-year experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift certification a requirement
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lb
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment; as well as ability to work within a team
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong sense of time organization and urgency
