We are seeking an experienced HVAC Brazer to join our production/assembly team. In this role, you will assemble and braze copper, steel, and other metal components used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will ensure strong, leak-free joints while maintaining top-tier quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform brazing operations on copper tubing, fittings, and metal components using torches and HVAC brazing equipment.
- Prepare parts by cutting, cleaning, fitting, and applying flux and filler metals according to specifications.
- Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure proper assembly and joint placement.
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and leak-free performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control staff to meet production standards.
- Document production data, materials used, and any repairs or adjustments made.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Experience in HVAC brazing, metal fabrication, welding, or similar work.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, tubing, fittings, and brazing alloys.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
