Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems and methodologies. The Production Manager will play a vital role in coordinating cross-functional teams, optimizing supply chain workflows, and driving operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production activities to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement production schedules while coordinating with the Sales Manager
- Oversee inventory management, supply chain coordination, and procurement processes to ensure seamless material flow.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing techniques, continuous improvement strategies, and best practices in manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues related to assembly, mechanical components, or process deviations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Manage a team of supervisors and production staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain documentation related to production activities, quality records, and process changes within ERP systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or production supervision within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong history of managing inventory
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand assembly processes and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in manufacturing settings.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and reporting purposes.
- 5-10+ Years of leadership experience in a similar setting
- 5-10+ Years of experience in food processing/butchering across a variety of animals ranging from Beef, Bison, Pork, Poultry, and Wild Game
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
