Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and updating dental records using practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Provide support during orthodontic procedures or pediatrics treatments when needed, ensuring patient comfort at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding and comfort throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with Dentrix is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures enhances your ability to serve diverse patient needs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with patients of all ages.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with a broader patient demographic.
- Familiarity with dental assisting techniques and medical terminology helps streamline patient care processes.
