Mechanic - Automotive Service Technician (310S)
LH North Ltd. is a leading heavy-civil construction company in Northwestern Ontario specializing in the design and construction of high-quality infrastructure such as bridges, roads, deep foundations and underground water systems. The company is now accepting applications for 310S Automotive Service Technician who meet the following qualifications:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction and supervision of the Shop Foreman and senior mechanical staff:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain light-duty vehicles, pickup trucks, trailers, and small equipment.
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs including brakes, steering, suspension, driveline, and engine diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Document work completed, parts used, and maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE use.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the mechanical team to minimize downtime and keep fleet vehicles operating efficiently.
Qualifications:
· Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician License.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract. Experience with fleet or construction-related vehicles is considered and asset.
