Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. This role involves transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites while ensuring safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving, mechanical systems, and construction-related operations, contributing to the successful completion of projects across diverse terrains and environments.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport construction materials, heavy equipment, and supplies between locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment such as loaders or forklifts.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Support construction activities by operating heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and concrete finishing tools when required.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation and on-site operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate timely deliveries and pickups.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and construction machinery.
- Experience in construction environments, including paving, concrete forming, or finishing is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and concrete finishing tools.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
- Physical ability to load/unload materials, operate machinery, and perform manual tasks as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn. Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
