The Countertop template technician will be responsible for visiting client homes and creating 2D and 3D templates for their natural stone and engineered stone needs. We offer a variety of products for all types of building applications. Whether your client is renovating a bathroom or kitchen or requires your expertise in adding the finishing touches to a build from the ground up . A typical day for you may include the following functions: traveling to various locations throughout the Muskoka area, meeting with homeowners, contractors or designers to review their project, measuring accurately using Laser templator, CAD design work, paperwork and information follow up.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Direct experience in the templating of Natural and Engineered Stones surfaces
- Must be computer literate and have strong CAD skills and experience
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Have a positive attitude and solid work ethic and be self motivated as you will be working independently
- Have the ability to sell the products to homeowners or commercial accounts
- Possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have your own vehicle
- Be able to communicate effectively with clients, peers and direct reports
- Provide the best customer service experience possible including initial communication and follow up
- Must possess basic problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Must be proficient in math and geometry and have a solid understanding of measurements, fractions, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to/from client locations and sales office (using personal vehicle-travel is paid)
- Completing work orders, noting all required measurements, product finishes, cut outs, etc.
- Advising clients of any modifications that may be required and provide critical information to the customer concerning the templating and installation process
- Respond to general inquiries while on site and communicating any relevant information to the sales person, operations staff or production staff in a timely manner
- Ensure all work orders/templates are completed no later than 24-48 hours from the time of templating
- Have a valid driver's license, own transportation and insurance in order to travel to and from client locations
- Create accurate digital drawings of countertops and other items for installation
- Other duties as assigned
