About New Edge Electrical
New Edge Electrical is a growing electrical contractor proudly serving the Lower Mainland. We specialize in industrial, commercial, and residential projects — from ground-up construction to complex retrofit and fit-out work. Our reputation is built on quality craftsmanship, rigorous safety standards, and long-standing relationships with general contractors and owners across Metro Vancouver.
We’re a tight-knit, professional team that takes our work seriously — and takes care of the people who do it. Experienced tradespeople here are given real responsibility, supported with the tools they need, and recognized for the impact they make.
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Foreman / Site Coordinator to lead crews and oversee quality control across multiple active project sites in the Lower Mainland.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strong technical expertise with the organizational ability to lead construction sites from start to finish. You’ll oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate teams, and keep multiple projects on schedule, on scope, and to our quality standard — stepping in on the tools when needed to keep things moving. We’re looking for someone energetic and detail-oriented whose leadership drives project success while fostering a culture of quality on every site.
You’ll be the key link between our project management team and the field — someone our crew trusts to lead, and that our clients and GCs trust to deliver.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate journeymen electricians and apprentices across multiple Lower Mainland sites
- Work alongside the team on the tools when required
- Lead projects spanning industrial, commercial, and residential settings — from start to finish
- Oversee quality control at each site, ensuring workmanship meets New Edge and client standards
- Plan daily and weekly work activities; set productivity targets and hold the crew to them
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications; identify and flag issues proactively
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently with minimal disruption to schedules
- Coordinate and work directly with project managers, general contractors, office staff, and other trades on site
- Coordinate required inspections with municipalities and relevant departments — ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and regulations (including the BC Electrical Code and WorkSafeBC requirements)
- Manage material orders and job site inventory; track usage against project budgets
- Maintain site records, daily reports, and inspection documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment on all sites
- Report directly to the project manager
Qualifications
Required:
- Journeyman Electrician certification (BC or Red Seal Interprovincial)
- 3–5+ years of foreman or supervisory experience in the field
- Solid knowledge of the BC Electrical Code and WorkSafeBC requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites or concurrent projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid BC driver’s license (Class 5 or better)
Preferred:
- Tech-savvy, with experience using construction or project management software (e.g. JobTread, Buildertrend, or similar)
- Background in fire alarm systems and/or low-voltage cabling
- Experience with EV charging infrastructure or other emerging electrical technologies
- CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications
Compensation & Benefits
- $42–$50/hour based on experience
- Paid vacation (4%)
- Genuine respect for work-life balance and the demands of life outside the job
- Dynamic, fun work environment with a great team of people
- Leadership team with a track record of building and growing multiple businesses
- Paid training and support for ongoing certifications
- Mileage reimbursement for site travel
- Steady, long-term work with a growing company
- Real opportunity for advancement into a senior field leadership role as the company grows
