We are seeking a dedicated, hard working driver to join our team. This is a dedicated local shunting position, full time hours, Monday to Friday. An average of 14 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle condition.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize delivery schedules.
- Report any vehicle issues, damages, or accidents promptly.
- Uphold the company's commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for Canada.
- At least one year of AZ driving experience.
- A clean driving record.
- A clean police clearance (60 days old or newer) or proof of FAST card
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in freight transportation.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and traffic laws.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Basic automotive repair knowledge is advantageous.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
