Cafe Malabar Restaurant & Bar is hiring a reliable Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our kitchen team.
We are a chef led restaurant inspired by the cuisine of the Malabar Coast of Kerala, presented through a refined West Coast lens. Led by Chefs Kiran and Karma, recognized as Victoria’s 2025 Chefs of the Year, our kitchen values cleanliness, organization, and strong teamwork.
This role is essential to the success of our kitchen and overall service.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dish area
- Support kitchen team with basic prep and organization
- Take out garbage and recycling as needed
- Ensure dish station is stocked and running efficiently
- Assist team during busy service periods
Requirements

Compensation: $18.25–$19.25 per hour + participation in tip pool
Schedule: Part-time or Full-time hours, Afternoons and evenings, Wednesday through Sunday
