Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver delicious meals efficiently and consistently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and meal presentation to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage
- Support kitchen operations during busy service periods, including catering events if applicable
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure all dishes meet presentation standards and are served promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, preferably in fine dining or catering environments
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of culinary techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of food service operations, kitchen experience, and catering is advantageous
