We are currently looking to hire a full-time liquor store sales clerk to join our team. The position will report directly to the store manager.
Tasks
- Provide customer service and handle customer queries, complaints, and refund of products
- Operate sale till and authorize and make payments by cheque for vendors
- Keep track of inventory and ensure inventory is stocked up
- Authorize and make payments by cheque and credit/debit card payments
- Assist sales team and ensure a positive and safe working environment is maintained
- Tabulate total payment for goods or services required and receive payment for goods or services
- Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- Stock shelves and clean counter area, Wrap or place merchandise in bags
- Verify the age of customers when selling alcohol products to person who looks younger than 25 years
- Order and receive liquor and other supplies
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Team Player and flexible schedule
Work Environment:
- Salary: $15 to $18/hour based on experience
- Working Hours: Full time position; 30 to 50 hours per week
- Working Shifts: 5 to 6 days per week (Morning/Evening shifts)
- Eligible for bonuses based on performance and sales
- Fast paced and tight deadlines from time to time
- May require handling of heavy loads and extending periods of walking and/or standing
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
