About the Opportunity
An established Saskatoon residential service and construction company is seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Assistant Warehouse Supervisor.
This position supports the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse while ensuring field teams have the materials, tools, equipment, and support required to complete their work efficiently. The role combines warehouse operations, inventory control, purchasing support, deliveries, fleet coordination, and team leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Support the efficient daily operation of the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, productive, and safe working environment.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored, labelled, and secured.
- Receive, load, unload, and organize incoming materials and deliveries.
- Coordinate material transfers between the warehouse, suppliers, field employees, and job sites.
- Restock service vehicles, technician inventory, and project materials as required.
- Complete weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts and stock checks.
- Verify shipment quantities, pricing, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records.
- Assist with sourcing products and researching materials for field and project teams.
Leadership and Team Support
- Support the Warehouse Manager in coordinating daily activities and priorities.
- Help monitor workflow, productivity, safety, organization, and accuracy.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to warehouse employees when required.
- Lead by example and help maintain a respectful, accountable, and team-oriented workplace.
- Participate in warehouse safety meetings, inspections, and operational improvement initiatives.
Fleet and Deliveries
- Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to employees and job sites.
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Assist with fleet organization, vehicle coordination, and basic fleet administration.
- Ensure vehicles, warehouse equipment, and company assets are used responsibly and maintained properly.
Internal Service
- Respond promptly to material and equipment requests from field teams.
- Help minimize delays and downtime caused by missing or unavailable materials.
- Communicate professionally with employees, suppliers, contractors, and customers.
- Identify practical improvements that increase warehouse efficiency and service levels.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in warehousing, inventory, logistics, purchasing, construction supply, or a related environment.
- Previous lead-hand, supervisory, or team leadership experience is considered an asset.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist wherever required.
- Strong communication and internal customer-service skills.
- Comfort using computerized inventory, purchasing, or warehouse-management systems.
- A commitment to safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Experience supporting plumbing, HVAC, electrical, renovation, or construction operations is considered an asset.
- A valid driver’s licence and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
Employment will be conditional upon confirmation of legal eligibility to work in Canada, a satisfactory driver’s abstract, and a satisfactory criminal record check.
