We are seeking an experienced Certified Security Installer to join our Security Division Team, to maintain and develop our customer base in the Prince George Area. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of security systems and components, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair any issues that arise.
This position requires the successful candidate to be able to work independently and with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to follow safety protocols and industry standards. We are looking for an individual who values Safety, Professionalism, Customer Service and takes pride in their work.
The ability to work cooperatively with our other Technicians in the area, or independently is a requirement. Technicians with prior electrical trade experience is an asset, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair security systems, cameras and access control wiring, devices, and equipment. Including ULC Certified systems
- Maintain existing contracts and develop customer base
- Travel in and around the Prince George area, with occasional out of town work for projects.
- Read blueprints and diagrams to determine the layout of systems.
- Inspect Security systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair security, camera and access control systems
- Follow Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) standards.
- Full participation in our WorkSafeBC COR Certified Safety Program
