Rideout Tool & Machine Inc is a longstanding Newfoundland owned and operated industrial distributor serving the Atlantic provinces. We supply power and hand tools, industrial consumables, wood and metalworking machinery, compressed air products, test and measurement equipment, fasteners and more to all industries in the Atlantic provinces. We are looking for a permanent full-time Outside Sales Representative for our St. John’s, NL location to serve the metro area and eastern region of Newfoundland.
Primary responsibility of successful candidate is to generate sales, growth and profitability by generating new business and maintain current established customer relationships.
Duties Include: personal contact with new and existing customers through cold calling and responding to sales inquiries and leads; create demand for product in the industrial market; sell full range of products in professional manner; conduct product demonstration and promotion; manage schedule to cover assigned customer base; prepare customer quotations, respond to inquiries and process orders.
Successful applicant will have proven ability to develop new business and recognize industrial sales opportunities; successful experience in industrial sales environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to organize and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment; demonstrate a professional attitude under pressure at all times; exhibit high commitment to customer service; proven track record of punctuality and dependability; be self-motivated to succeed; work well in a team environment and be computer literate with common business applications.
Day travel is required. Applicant must possess valid driver`s license and own vehicle. Company provides vehicle allowance paid monthly.
Sales experience is required.
Experience with industrial products and knowledge of our local industrial market is preferred.
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Salary is comprised of base salary plus commission.
