Job Summary
Midland Food is a dynamic and growing seafood wholesale distributor serving the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in delivering high-quality frozen seafood and food products to restaurants, retail markets and other food service businesses.
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers throughout the GTA and occasionally to other regions in Ontario.
- Operate company vehicles including cargo vans and 18-foot Hino box trucks.
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently at customer locations and company facilities
- Verify orders and delivery quantities, obtain customer signatures and complete required documentation.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of company vehicles.
- Assist with warehouse operations during non-delivery periods, including receiving, picking, packing, inventory handling and general warehouse duties.
- Follow all company safety policies and transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
- Experience operating cargo vans and/or box trucks is an asset.
- Ability to frequently lift and move products up to 60 lbs.
- Comfortable with physical work, including loading and unloading products throughout the day.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
