Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck and Coach Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, coaches, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive and heavy equipment repair, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience is a plus, along with familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding, and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery and develop expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems on trucks and coaches
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery for repairs or testing purposes
- Read schematics and technical manuals to identify problems accurately
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure safety and optimal vehicle performance
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of parts during repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or technician in a dealership or heavy equipment environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, industrial equipment, and farm machinery
- Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred

Pay: $31.13-$40.00 per hour
