Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Paramedic to join our medical team. This vital role involves providing immediate medical assistance and patient care in an industrial camp setting. Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital care to patients
- Assess patient conditions accurately and determine appropriate treatment protocols
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation
- Transferring patient care to the appropriate emergency response team
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain and operate medical equipment, ensuring all tools are sterile and functional
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to move patients or equipment safely
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures during patient interactions
- Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in compliance with regulations
Skills
- Proven pre-hospital experience with a focus on emergency or primary care settings
- Strong skills in patient care, including assessment, stabilization, and communication
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to emergency medical services
- Ability to administer medications safely and effectively under protocol guidelines
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or movement during shifts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork and patient interaction
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
- Familiarity with medical equipment operation and maintenance is preferred

This role involves rotational shifts, specifically, 6 on - 8 off rotations working 12 hours each shift. The site is 2 hours north of Kamloops, BC.
Pay: $37.00-$42.00 per hour
