Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) continuously to detect suspicious activity and ensure perimeter integrity
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents accurately
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and shift reports for accountability and review
- Enforce security policies and procedures consistently to uphold safety standards across all areas
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security services, or related fields is highly desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques using CCTV systems
- Knowledge of loss prevention methods and best practices for deterring theft and vandalism
- Familiarity with security protocols, emergency response procedures, and incident reporting
- Ability to remain alert, vigilant, and professional during long shifts in a variety of environments
