Job Summary
We are seeking a certified Red Seal Mechanic (Truck & Transport) to join our team in Winnipeg. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding and fabrication work as required
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other shop machinery when needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and provincial regulations
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance efficiency and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal Certification (Truck & Transport Mechanic)
- Proven experience as a heavy-duty or transport mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools
- Experience with welding, schematics, and electrical diagnostics
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Dealership or fleet maintenance experience considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
