Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our team in Salmon Arm, BC. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient transportation of materials and equipment to support our projects and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials & equipment to various project sites.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules.
- Support other operational tasks related to trucking as required.
- Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience within the construction or transportation industry.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavator is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and reliability.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs is preferred.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
