Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Shuttle Bus Driver to transport passengers safely and efficiently between designated locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of vehicle maintenance, and excellent customer service abilities. This role is essential in ensuring smooth transit operations and providing a positive experience for all passengers.
Duties
- Operate shuttle buses along predetermined routes, adhering to schedules and traffic laws
- Ensure passenger safety by following all safety protocols and driving regulations
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with mobility challenges
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleaning the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers to provide updates or address concerns
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during shifts
- Report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure timely repairs and safety compliance
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred; if not, willingness to obtain required licensing
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Fluency in English for effective communication with passengers and team members
- Proven customer service skills to ensure a positive passenger experience
- Strong communication skills for clear interactions with passengers, dispatchers, and team members
- Experience in commercial driving or operating large vehicles is highly desirable
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and handle diverse passenger needs effectively
- Good physical condition to assist with boarding procedures and perform routine vehicle inspections
