Duties
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, styling, and treatments tailored to each client’s preferences and hair type
- Deliver excellent customer service by listening carefully to clients’ needs and offering expert advice on hairstyles and hair care routines
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Upsell retail products by educating clients on hair care solutions that complement their treatments and lifestyle
- Assist with front desk responsibilities such as greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and processing payments efficiently
- Assist in maintaining the salon’s organized appearance and stock levels of supplies and retail items
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication skills, ensuring they feel valued and satisfied with their experience
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating versatility and skill
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their needs
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean work environment
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing honest recommendations
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain styling options and hair care advice
- Experience in retail sales within a salon setting is preferred but not required
- Effective front desk skills including appointment booking, cash handling, and managing client flow
