Responsibilities and duties:
- Responsible for planning and ensuring the timely execution of all year-round operations of existing vineyards (600+ acres), newly and soon-to-be planted vineyards
- Works closely with customer winemakers and management team on annual goals
- Works closely with the management team on future and upcoming plantings and is responsible for much of the execution of those plantings and vineyard development
- Manages team of vineyard hands and seasonal workers
- Regular communication and reporting with management
Desired qualifications and qualities:
- Has a passion for cool climate wine growing
- Experience/Understanding of cool climate viticulture
- 3 years experience in a vineyard management or farm management role
- Valid driver’s license; required to travel to various sites.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and the ability to learn software
- Required to work long hours during peak seasons
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in outside weather, walk on uneven terrain
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with motivated attitude
- Looks ahead when planning

- Brings the attitude that no one is above any job
- Takes notes and documents seasonal timelines
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- Mechanical experience would be an asset
- Truck driving license (AZ/DZ) would be an asset
- Fluency or knowledge of Spanish would be an asset
- Knowledge of/experience with organic farming would be an asset
