Raymond Reach Forklift Operator – Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (Local Candidates Only or Must be able to commute to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield daily )
We are seeking experienced Raymond Reach Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating Raymond reach trucks to manage inventory, pick orders, and support warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position offers opportunities for growth within warehouse management systems and order picking procedures, contributing to overall operational success.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Raymond reach forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse
- Use clamp trucks and order pickers as needed to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Assist with order picking, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment or restocking
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining organized storage areas and optimizing space utilization
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve workflow efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience operating Raymond reach forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating clamp trucks and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a warehouse environment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is highly desirable
This role is essential for maintaining smooth warehouse operations through skilled forklift operation, accurate order fulfillment, and effective inventory management.
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
