Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced and dedicated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) specializing in Cardiology to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to 2 cardiology physicians ensuring smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care. This role requires a compassionate approach, strong organizational skills, high self motivation and familiarity with medical procedures within a outpatient setting.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients efficiently, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the cardiology department including management of patient wait times.
- Prepare and update patient records accurately in electronic health systems
- Support physicians during examinations and procedures as needed
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, privacy regulations, and safety standards
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and documentation
Requirements
- Experience and working knowledge of ACCURO EMR - required.
- Certification or training as a Medical Office Assistant or related healthcare qualification - required
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting - required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Experience with patient care activities is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and staff
- Ability to multitask efficiently and self manage time and work flow
