Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting trailers to ensure they are in safe and optimal working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on truck/trailers including brake adjustments, tire replacements, and lubrication
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trailers
- Conduct inspections to identify any issues or potential problems
- Use schematics and diagrams to troubleshoot and repair trailer components
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with drivers and staff
