The rigger is responsible for the installation of wood & steel piles, crane lifts and removals according to company specifications. This role involves effective communication with project estimators and operators.

Our company operates year-round, constructing residential & commercial docks on Okanagan Lake.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Working front end of a floating pile driving barge on Okanagan Lake.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, barges, and tools.
- Follow safety regulations and keep the worksite clean.
- Construct, repair, and replace damaged structural components.
Skills required:
- Excellent understanding of rigging
- Welding and torching (an asset)
- Great hand dexterity and an eye for detail
- Good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials
- Ability to work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards
- Excellent understanding of boats
- Good knowledge of English
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Good understanding of basic math
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of construction process from material selection, techniques, tools and equipment to quality assurance and cost control. Ability to work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards.
