Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic student who will be Cashier/Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant food service team! In this role, you will be the friendly face greeting customers at the counter, handling transactions efficiently with POS systems, and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Duties
- Operate POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions about menu items, and upsell products to enhance sales
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling orders and maintaining food presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, restocking supplies, and managing food handling procedures
- Ensure all food industry safety standards are followed to promote a safe environment for staff and customers
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
