Responsibilities:
- Detailing & Modelling: Prepare clear, accurate, and complete reinforcement placing drawings, structural concrete details, bending schedules, and bar lists for mid-rise, high-rise, or low-rise residential structures.
- Drawing Review & Analysis: Read and interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings, ensuring all detailing strictly complies with project specifications, contract requirements, and structural engineering designs.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all rebar designs and schedules adhere to the latest concrete design standards and relevant local building codes.
- BIM & Software Operation: Efficiently utilize RebarCAD to produce daily detailing deliverables. Participate in or coordinate with BIM workflows using Revit for integrated structural modelling.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with structural engineers, project managers, coordinators, and the fabrication/site teams to resolve design discrepancies, clarify engineering details, and address site RFI's.
- Quality & Accuracy: Perform meticulous self-checks on placing drawings and bar lists to minimize errors, material waste, and fabrication delays.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience: 2+ years of verified working experience in the rebar detailing area. Prior experience in reinforced concrete structural design or structural drafting/modelling is considered a strong asset.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid structural engineering background with a proven ability to read complex structural drawings and fully understand structural concrete design details.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in RebarCAD.
- Working knowledge or hands-on experience with Revit is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: Extreme attention to detail, highly organized, strong spatial awareness, and a proven team player capable of managing deadlines in a collaborative environment.
