Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supervisor for our Metal Stamping department. This leadership role involves overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in manufacturing processes, and experience with ERP systems to drive continuous improvement initiatives within a lean manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate metal stamping production teams to meet daily output goals.
- Utilize SAP and other ERP systems to plan, monitor, and adjust production schedules in alignment with supply chain demands.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize workflow through lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards by monitoring processes and conducting inspections.
- Manage inventory levels using MRP systems to ensure materials availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality departments on process development and assembly integration.
- Train team members on safety procedures, operational techniques, and continuous improvement practices.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in manufacturing or metal stamping processes.
- Proficiency with SAP, ERP systems, MRP, and other supply chain management tools.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques within a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to lead teams effectively, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues related to process flow and assembly operations.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and facilitate training sessions. Pay: $24.84-$50.00 per hour
