Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping tasks, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience with gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, along with mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and construction projects
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping tasks
- Maintain equipment through routine inspections and mechanical repairs as needed
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, patios, or garden beds
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Skills
- Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation/maintenance
- Proficiency in gardening practices and horticulture principles
- Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks with precision and care
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping machinery and tools
- Skilled in using hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, saws) safely and effectively
- Familiarity with construction techniques applicable to outdoor projects
- Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work as part of a team
