Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, operating POS systems, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. This role is vital to ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers and supporting smooth restaurant operations. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently according to established standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer transactions accurately while providing friendly service
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Good time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Basic kitchen experience or food handling knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays if required
Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
