Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the
largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the education needs of
approximately 17,750 students in 43 schools. Every day, the staff and students
of EIPS are encouraged to pursue opportunities to grow and discover their
passions in life. We pride ourselves on providing staff and students with the
tools to achieve success by offering dynamic programming, current resources,
and practical professional learning opportunities.
EIPS is recruiting a temporary full-time French Immersion Division 1 Teacher at Forest Grove School.
Forest Grove School is scheduled to open in August 2026, serving
students in kindergarten to Grade 9. Students who previously attended École
Campbelltown and Sherwood Heights Junior High will come together at Forest
Grove School to establish a new community rooted in the rich histories of the
former schools. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.
Forest Grove School
will offer single-track French Immersion to students in kindergarten to Grade 6
and multiple programming options for students in grades 7 to 9, including
dual-track programming in both English and French Immersion, and the Logos
Christian program and Junior High Honours program options for English students.
Why Forest Grove? Forest refers to a large group of trees while the word grove
represents a smaller tree grouping. The two combined represent small groups
that come together to make a whole. At the new school, students, families,
staff and community members will come together in "groves" to create
a larger community that will grow together.
